We are propose to develope a tourist route in rural Russia. There is a lot of beautiful places in the Perm region near the Ural Mountains. We called this route Salty Ear. This route got its name from a legend connected with the saltwater industry common in the Perm region. Workers dragged bags of salt on their shoulders and their ears were soaked in salt. Because of this, they got the nickname "Permian - salty ears."
Each stopping point should have parking, rest areas, toilets and pavilions where tourists can rest and settle. In the most significant points there should be viewing platforms, a cafe, a hotel or cabins where you can spend the night. On the one of the routes points we propose a viewplatform with a hotel for a groups of creatve people. The hotel is not located in the reserve area, but near the most beautiful places of the Urals.
VELS LANDSCAPE HOTEL
The hotel is located in the Vels village in Perm region between two rivers : Vishera River and Vels River. In the distance people can see the Ural Mountains and visit the local nature sights. The existing stones on the riverside form the shape of the project.
The hotel is built in the landscape and descends to the water, creating the terraces. The hotel’s skeleton is a path that bends around existing stones, forming a viewing trail with vivid views of the surrounding area.
On the site exits Big Vels Cave. The only one way to enter the hotel is to go through this cave. The visitor can feel the genius loci of the place and fully immerse themselves in its atmosphere and history. The scenario of the space is to move from the dark cave in to the light lobby.
